About Me

100_0009.jpgI can’t help myself.

I was born this way.

I am an encourager.

My name is Ron Corzine and I grew up in small town USA. I was born in Sherman, Texas, grew up  in Howe, Texas and currently live in San Antonio, Texas. So you can see I am a Texas boy. From the time Mom and Dad brought me home from the hospital until my wife and I were married, I lived in the same town, the same house, and went to the same school.

I was born into a rather large family, at least by todays standards. I am the youngest boy of seven children, there are three boys and four girls. My parents seem to spread things out. They had one boy and two girls then waited 10 years to have another boy and girl, then waited another 10 years to have another boy and girl.

My dad was a preacher and my mom was a hard working housewife. We always had our basic needs met but it was slim pickings from time to time. I really wouldn’t want to change a thing about where and how I grew up. It’s made me grateful for small communities and difficult times.

At the age of 19 I married my high school sweetheart who was just 16 when we married. We have been married for 41 years. We have three children, Philip, Amy and Marlie.. They are all happily married and have given us six wonderful grandchildren.

I am the grandson of a preacher, the son of a preacher, the father of a preacher, the father-in-law of a preacher, friends to many preachers, and a preacher as well. I graduated from Bible College in 1973 and have pastored churches since that time. As previously stated I now live in San Antonio, Texas with my wife Anne and our two dogs Bo and Jake.

We are still very much in love and happily married. She enjoys shopping, staying at home or at times hitting the road in her personal RV with a group of girls called Sisters on the Fly.

I travel nationally overseeing the churches I have started and internationally teaching pastors and leaders.

I enjoy my life, my wife, and the ministry. Most of all I enjoy my relationship with God. He no longer is someone I see as distant or way out there. He abides in me and I in Him and we enjoy one another.

  1. Shawn said you had a blog, just found it…the link through his. So I will be following your blog…yes, you are an encourager, Ron. If one painted your face, “Encourager” would be the title to that portrait. You exude encouragement. I see in you what I see in my husband…”a gentle warrior.” Anne and I are extremely blessed ladies.

  2. Ron,

Pretty wild to get your Facebook friend request. What a surprise. I’ve had no contact with anyone ‘in the church world’ for 3 years. I’ve gone in a different direction. Still love God; maybe more so now than ever. Life has been interesting. Glad to see you though I never expected it.

    Love ya, bro,
    Mike
